Why was the plansafe System developed?
The plansafe System was developed as a result of the need to provide Safe Driving Plans to all Drivers in accordance with the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal.
This then led to the following questions.
How do we communicate Safe Driving Plans to Drivers?
How do we provide the opportunity for Drivers in the field to accept New Movements based on the Safe Driving Plans provided?

After devising the basic functionality of the plansafe System we began to explore other ways we could make communication and the transfer of information in the Road Freight Sector more efficient.
These questions then encouraged us to include ways for Drivers to communicate their actual load details including photos of actual load and unload dockets.
It also led to the inclusion of ways for Drivers to record their Fatigue Data, loading times and unloding times. The added benefit of this being to provide a complete electronic report for a movement, from start to finish, that can then be shared with other stakeholders in that particular movement.
